Riley Harlan, President

After years as an engineer and technical manager, Riley Harlan sought out an opportunity that would allow him to combine his passion for innovation with his love of powersports. He found that opportunity when he purchased Symtec in 2010.
Riley spends his free time with his wife and kids at their Plymouth, Minnesota, home or traveling to various tropical destinations. He also enjoys taking his sled out on the trails and attending motorsports events. Riley graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management.

Joe Bauer, Product Development Manager

Entrenched in the professional end of the powersports industry since 1995, Joe has developed an in-depth technical understanding of mechanical designs. During his time at Symtec, he has delved further into the powersports industry and expanded his expertise within the industrial and medical device markets.
Outside the world of heating systems, Joe is a devoted husband, avid hunter and dedicated Green Bay Packer fan. He also spends time restoring vintage motorcycles and participating in charity events, such as the Ride for Kids and Ride for Research.

Joe Copley, Product Development Engineer

With extensive experience engineering industrial, medical and powersports products, Joe has a thorough understanding of the standards for these respective industries. In addition to his professional background, he is acquainted with the world of powersports on a personal level. He spends much of his spare time racing bikes, riding ATVs and snowmobiles, and maintaining his vehicles.
A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato’s mechanical engineering program, Joe is married with an infant son.
